Steve K. Stone Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Newspapers and Shared Services Morris Communications Company

Steve Stone serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer for newspapers and serves on the board of NIIT Media Technologies, a joint venture between Morris and NIIT Technologies. The NIIT Media Technologies partnership provides integrated IT & Business Process Outsourcing services to Morris as well as other enterprises in this country through a unique combination of on shore and off shore resources.  

Steve has 32 years' experience in the newspaper industry. Prior to joining Morris in 2002, he was assistant vice president/shared services for Knight Ridder Inc. and has also served as vice president and chief financial officer for the Charlotte Observer and director of finance/controller for The Miami Herald. Steve has held various financial positions at the San Jose Mercury News, Columbus Ledger-Inquirer and the Wichita Eagle Beacon. Steve holds a BBA degree from Southwestern College.
