Centrally located near the Georgia-South Carolina state line, the Hippodrome is a modern facility with Texas-size grounds. The Hippodrome is also a first-rate facility for the stabling and care of horses, and it is that way by design. This valuable community resource also serves as an evacuation center, sheltering people and animals during hurricanes, floods and other disasters.
