DIVISION ADDS ALASKA TOUR PUBLICATION
AUGUSTA,
Ga. - Morris Communications Corp. has added Destination
Alaska to its two existing titles designed for the Alaska
travel market, Alaska magazine and The MILEPOST.
The purchase was finalized June 19.
The digest-sized publication
is a port guide for passengers of cruise ships embarking from
Seattle, Wash., Seward, Alaska, and Vancouver, British Columbia.
It highlights sightseeing in Alaskan ports of call, listing
attractions, dining and shopping, and includes feature articles
on topics of regional interest such as artisans, history and
scenery.
"This is a quality publication
that perfectly complements our other Alaska travel properties,"
said President Will Morris. "We serve motorists, campers,
sportsmen and other travelers with Alaska magazine
and The MILEPOST. Destination Alaska serves
the cruise segment of the market."
The publication was formerly
owned by Destination Media, Santa Barbara, Calif.
Morris Communications is a privately
held media company with diversified holdings that include

services.
