MORRIS
OUTDOOR DIVISION NAMES PRESIDENT
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mark E. Moyer has been named president of
Fairway,
the outdoor advertising division of Morris Communications
Corp. He will assume his responsibilities in the Augusta home
office Aug. 1.
Moyer is currently media president
of Burkhart Advertising Inc., of South Bend, Ind., which is
among the top 20 out-of-home companies in the nation. He spent
several years of his career with Naegele Outdoor, the company
purchased by Morris in 1985 and subsequently renamed Fairway.
An Indiana native, Moyer is a 20-year veteran of the outdoor
industry.
"Mark has built an extremely
impressive record of sales and market development in the outdoor
industry. He's also visible and active in the industry's trade
association," said Morris Communications President Will Morris.
"We are very fortunate to bring someone with Mark's experience
and energy into our Fairway division."
Morris continued, "Bringing
a president into the outdoor division is part of our long-term
strategy for Fairway. We are pleased with the progress Mark's
arrival represents."
Fairway
Outdoor Advertising was developed in 1991 from the reorganization
of Naegele Outdoor Advertising Inc. Fairway branches are located
in North and South Carolina, Minnesota and California. With
nearly 6,000 out-of-home signs, Fairway ranks among the nation's
top 10 outdoor advertising companies.
Morris Communications is a privately
