MICHAEL
ASSINK NAMED GENERAL MANAGER
OF FLASHES
Augusta,
Ga. - Michael Assink has been named general manager of Flashes
Publishers Inc. in Allegan, Mich., effective immediately. He
succeeds Thomas Sanders.
The announcement was made today
by Will Morris, president of Augusta-based Morris Communications
Corp., parent company of Flashes.
Flashes Publishers is a commercial
printing operation and also publishes Flashes Shopping Guide,
a free community paper with nine zoned editions, as well as
West Michigan Senior Times, a specialized publication.
"Mike Assink has served us well
in several positions, and I am sure as he returns to Flashes
he will continue that same dedication," Morris said.
A native of Holland, Mich., Assink
got his start at Flashes, where he worked in various sales positions,
including general sales manager from 1997 to 1999. He then became
advertising director of The Holland Sentinel and has
been display advertising manager of The Augusta Chronicle
since October 2000. Morris Communications owns both daily newspapers
