Augusta, Ga. - Cindy Allen, editor and publisher of The Morning Sun, Pittsburg, Kan., since January 2001, has resigned to accept the position of editor of the Enid News and Eagle, Enid, Okla. Her resignation is effective Sept. 18.

Allen served The Morning Sun as managing editor from 1988-91 and as executive editor from 1996-99. She was then general manager of the Log Cabin Democrat, the Morris newspaper in Conway, Ark., from 1999-2001, when she returned to Pittsburg as publisher.
