DAN SMITH
RESIGNS AS VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNITY NEWSPAPERS
Augusta,
Ga. - Dan P. Smith has resigned his position as vice president
for community newspapers for Morris to join 21st Century Newspapers
Inc., Pontiac, Mich. The resignation is effective March 4, 2002.
In making the announcement, President
Will Morris said, "We wish the best for Dan and his family,
and we thank him for his efforts and support over the past six
years with our company."
Smith joined Morris in 1995, following
the acquisition of Stauffer Communications Inc., where he was
vice president of newspapers. Prior to his term with Stauffer,
he was with Donrey Media Group for 24 years.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed being
a part of the Morris team," Smith said. "It's been a challenging
and rewarding professional experience, and I've worked with
many, many fine people."
