mySAP ™ Media to Streamline Newspaper Operations Linking Advertising, Circulation, E-Procurement, Human Resources, and Financial Business Processes
Orlando, Fla. - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Morris Communications Co., LLC, a leading publisher of newspapers, books, and magazines, has selected the mySAP.com® e-business platform to streamline core business operations, operate more efficiently, and enhance partnerships with its customers. Today's announcement was made at NEXPO®, a newspaper industry trade show, being held June 22-25 in Orlando, Fla.

mySAP™ Media will provide nearly 6,000 Morris employees with a comprehensive set of solutions designed specifically for the business management and customer-care processes needed to maintain a competitive edge in the newspaper publishing industry. Morris employees, partners, and customers will benefit from the solution's full integration of the company's technical systems into its business processes, enabling optimized advertising management and better business support.

"SAP has industry-specific expertise with media and publishing companies and can help integrate and support our systems," said Steve Stone, vice president and CFO of the Morris newspaper division. "mySAP Media gives us more control over our business by combining media-specific functionality with core business solutions."

The new solutions will enhance processes as different departments have access to shared information and can approach customers more efficiently. In addition to using media-specific functionality, Morris will utilize mySAP™ Human Resources and mySAP™ Financials to integrate core business processes throughout the company.

"SAP is the only major enterprise application vendor to offer an industry-specific solution for media companies as well as accounting, human resources, and portal solutions," said Brian Madocks, senior vice president and general manager for the services sector, SAP America, Inc.
