THREE MORRIS DAILIES CHOOSE CAREERBUILDER.COM
TO POWER NEW ONLINE JOB SEARCH CENTERS

- Morris Publishing Group Expands CareerBuilder.com Partnership
with Amarillo, Athens and Lubbock -

AUGUSTA, Ga.—Three Morris daily newspapers, the Amarillo (Texas) Globe-News, Athens (Ga.) Banner Herald and Lubbock (Texas) Avalanche Journal, have selected CareerBuilder.com to power their new online job search centers. The announcement was made today by Morris Publishing Group Chief Executive Officer William S. Morris IV.

Morris Publishing Group began working with CareerBuilder.com, the largest online job network with more than 15 million unique visitors and more than 600,000 jobs, in June 2004 when it launched an online job search center for the Morris flagship newspaper, The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle.

"We are building on the success of CareerBuilder.com's job search center at The Augusta Chronicle and broadening our partnership to other areas," said Morris. "Working with CareerBuilder.com, advertisers and readers in Amarillo, Athens and Lubbock now have more options for their recruitment and job search pursuits."

Now totaling four, the Morris newspaper sites that have added CareerBuilder.com job search centers joined more than 400 other sites in CareerBuilder.com's wide distribution network reaching national, local, industry, diversity and niche audiences.

"The hiring landscape looks good for 2005 with nearly 15 percent of hiring managers planning to add 200 or more workers, according to CareerBuilder.com's latest jobs forecast," said Matt Ferguson, chief executive officer of CareerBuilder.com. "The partnership between CareerBuilder.com and Morris Publishing Group combines a local perspective with national exposure to help employers quickly get in touch with job seekers in their own back yard or across the country."

Visitors to the job search centers can take advantage of CareerBuilder.com's smart online products to help them target their job searches for salaried and hourly positions. The site gives job seekers the choice to search by industry, location or job type, and provides online career assessments, coaching for interviews and tips for salary negotiations. Job seekers can indicate their work preferences, education and experience and have job openings automatically e-mailed to them. Interested employers can review job seeker profiles and contact qualified candidates directly.
