FAIRWAY OUTDOOR ADVERTISING
NAMES CORPORATE SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Maria Suarez-Ismay
has been named corporate sales and marketing director for
Fairway Outdoor Advertising. This is a newly created position
and is effective June 1. The announcement was made today by
Fairway President Mark E. Moyer.
Suarez-Ismay will be based out of
Fairway’s Raleigh, N.C., office and will be responsible
for national and regional sales for the company. She will
also work closely with the Fairway sales staff.
Most recently, Suarez-Ismay served
as general manager of out-of-home media for MacDonald Media
Inc. Prior to that, she spent three years as director of out-of-home
media for Ford Motor Media/J. Walter Thompson in Chicago,
Ill., where she was promoted to senior partner. Suarez-Ismay
then served as senior partner and director of out-of-home
media for Ford Motor Media in Raleigh until 2002.

in the industry and has tremendous experience," Moyer
said. "We are looking forward to the positive impact
she will have on Fairway."

makes her an excellent choice for Fairway," said William
S. Morris IV, president of Morris Communications Co., Fairway's
parent company. "I am certain her experience and enthusiasm
will be valuable assets in the company's ongoing success."
Fairway Outdoor Advertising, formerly
Naegele Outdoor Advertising, was purchased by Morris Communications
in 1985 and became a division under the Morris corporate banner.
Headquartered in Augusta, Fairway has branch offices in California,
Georgia, Minnesota, North Carolina and South Carolina. Fairway
also provides services to clients in Virginia and Alabama.
Morris Communications is a privately
held media company with diversified holdings that include
newspaper and magazine publishing, outdoor advertising, radio
broadcasting, book publishing and distribution, and online
services.
