AUGUSTA, Ga.— Brenda Brodmarkle and Anthony Fredrickson received the William S. (Billy) Morris III Award for Advertising Sales Excellence Monday night during a presentation ceremony at the Morris Publishers' Conference.

"Brenda and Anthony have worked hard to become the best of the best," said William S. Morris IV, CEO of Morris Publishing Group, LLC. "With their hard work and dedication, they have shown commitment to serving their advertising clients and the readers of our newspapers."

Brodmarkle is an advertising representative with the Brainerd Dispatch, which she joined in January 2002. She previously was awarded the 2005 Brainerd Dispatch Sales Person of the Year.

Fredrickson has been an advertising account executive with The Florida Times-Union since September 2004. In the last year, he was recognized by the newspaper as Salesperson of the Month three times.

The honorees will receive, among other things, an all-expense-paid trip to the Newspaper Association of America's annual marketing conference, free gasoline for one year and two roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the contiguous United States.

The William S. (Billy) Morris III Award for Advertising Sales Excellence is named for the chairman and CEO of the company. It recognizes two winners of the President's Club Award for special achievement in advertising. One is chosen from the metro newspapers and the other from the community newspapers.
