AUGUSTA, Ga.- Paul V. Buckley has been promoted to chief information officer at Morris Communications Company, LLC, replacing Steven B. Strout, who recently resigned. The announcement was made today by MCC President William S. Morris IV and is effective immediately.
Buckley will be responsible for all aspects of Morris Technical Services. Buckley has been chief technology officer of Morris since joining the company in 2004.
"Paul's leadership was instrumental in the creation of our SAP platform, which has standardized and centralized our financial and business processes," Morris said. "His tremendous understanding of technology and systems is an important asset as our company continues to grow."
Buckley has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of information technology roles. Prior to joining Morris, Buckley served as director of infrastructure for the newspaper publishing company Knight Ridder. He also spent four years working in product management for Oracle, a leading software provider of industry-standard technologies.
