Steve Stone serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer for newspapers
and shared services and is the head of MStar Solutions LLC, the
Morris Communications subsidiary that operates the shared services
center. Steve has 24 years' experience in the newspaper
industry. Prior to joining Morris in 2002, he was assistant vice president/shared
services for Knight Ridder Inc. and has also served as vice president and chief
financial officer for the Charlotte Observer and director of finance/controller
for The Miami Herald. Steve has held various financial positions at the
San Jose Mercury News, Columbus Ledger-Inquirer and the Wichita
Eagle Beacon. Steve holds a BBA degree from Southwestern College.
